St.Louis Pirate Fest Open House Reminder!!!!

Arrrrr Mateys!

The island is looking for you! This Saturday we will be having our Open House for the 2011 season.

Saturday June 25, 2011 10 am - 3 pm

Rotary Park at the Main (Knight's) Pub

2577 West Meyer Rd. Wentzville MO.

Our costumed volunteers get garbed up and walk around the Fest site chatting with patrons all day and giving the island a real presence. Entertaining the patrons is a real treat for these folks and we are happy to invite you to join in on the fun!

You could come on out and get information about being a Pirate!, Villager, Military personnel, an Aristocrat, or even a St.Claire Lady!

We also have several positions available in our Support Groups.

Front gate- This garbed group handles all of our front gate duties. Greeting our patrons as they come in and giving them a hearty thank you on their way out as well as other duties.

Safety team- This group does not wear historical garb but instead they wear those lovely bright yellow shirts that are easy to spot. Our safety team proudly helps our volunteers and patrons stay as safe as they can during the day by giving first aid and dealing with other general safety concerns.

Orange Crew- This group of people wear the bright orange shirts while going all over site doing various behind the stage duties.

We will have staff available to answer any questions and help you with the sign up process.

We hope to see all of you there and are looking forward to working with you!

Thank You!

Wow ! What a great season.

First it was a step back in history to the french renaissance at the St Louis Renaissance Faire and then to a tropical Island for some piratical fun with the St Louis Pirate Fest. Excitment and laughter around every corner, and of course pirates!

But never fear, tickets for the 2011 Season of the St Louis Renaissance Faire coming in January.

Huzzah !

Join us for the final weekend of the St Louis Pirate Fest

Our Story: The True Pirates of Martinique

It’s 1720, and the Pirates are at it again. This time, Captain “Red-legs” Greaves has a plan in mind. Instead of attacking Martinique outright, he has struck a deal with the Governor, effectively bribing his way onto the island—and into the Governor’s pockets! Gold and silver have bought the Pirates the run of the island, and not even the French Military seems to be able to stop them. There are Pirates on the docks, Pirates in the streets, Pirates in the taverns, and Pirates in the cupboards!!! Yet all is not lost, not if the ladies of Martinique have anything to say about it. If the corrupt Governor and his Pirate accomplices are not careful, they might find themselves over-run and run-over by the True Pirates of Martinique!! Hip! Hip! Huzzah!!!

St. Louis Pirate Festival Opens This Weekend!

Ahoy, mateys!

The 4th annual St. Louis Pirate Festival is sailing into St. Louis this weekend, September 11-12.

The rumpus continues for the following two weekends on September 18-19 and September 25-26.

The woodlands of Rotary Park will be transformed into the rollicking Caribbean seaport of Fort Royal on the island of Martinique. As you stroll through the town, you'll enjoy musicians, merchants, purveyors of food and drink, comedians, fire performers, belly dancers and of course, lots of pirates, from dashing rogues to scurvy knaves.

This is the fall festival brought to you by Renaissance St. Louis, Inc., the same people who create the St. Louis Renaissance Faire. If you've never been to the Pirate Festival, you'll find it delivers the same kind of interactive fun as the Faire, but with a distinctively different flavor the Golden Age of Piracy! If you;ve been to the Festival before, you'll experience new treats this year, including Capt'n Black's Sea Dogs,  original and traditional music about pirates, and Ez N Dil's unique blend of Irish music with folk, gospel, and silly songs for the whole family.

So X marks the spot on your calendar on Saturday and Sundays, September 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26.

We're making it even easier to bring your family and friends with a coupon, a buy-one-get-one-free for this first weekend. Just go to our website www.stlpiratefest.com, print it out and bring it to the entrance gate this Saturday or Sunday.
